What to Expect
Three steps. Thirty minutes.
No sales pitch dressed up as a “consultation.” Here’s exactly how your free intro session runs, minute by minute.
First 10 minutes
Movement & Goal Screen
We start on the floor, not at a desk. Your trainer walks you through a quick movement screen - squat, hinge, push, pull - to see how your body actually moves today. No judgment, no fitness test you can fail. Just a baseline we can build from.
Next 10 minutes
The Honest Conversation
What do you actually want - and by when? We dig into your goal, your schedule, your training history, and the injuries or setbacks that have gotten in the way before. This is where we figure out what a realistic, sustainable plan looks like for your real life.
Final 10 minutes
Your Recommendation
You leave knowing exactly what we’d recommend and why - which program, which trainer, how many sessions a week, and what the first 12 weeks would look like. If FitForge isn’t the right fit, we’ll tell you that too. No pressure, no hard sell, no signing anything on the spot.
Come Prepared
What to bring.
You don’t need much - just yourself and an honest sense of what you’re after. A few things make the session even more useful:
- ✓Comfortable clothes you can move in - you’ll do a light movement screen, not a full workout
- ✓Any relevant medical or physical-therapy notes if you’re returning from an injury
- ✓A rough idea of your weekly schedule so we can map out realistic training days
- ✓Your questions - about programming, nutrition, pricing, whatever’s on your mind
Before You Book
Free consult questions.
Is the intro session really free?
Yes - genuinely free, no card required, no strings attached. The 30-minute intro session is how we make sure FitForge is the right fit for you before you ever commit to a program. Most clients tell us it’s the most useful 30 minutes they’ve spent on their fitness in years, whether or not they end up training with us.
Will I have to work out hard during the consult?
No. The intro session is a movement screen and a conversation, not a bootcamp. You’ll do a few basic movements so your trainer can see how you move, but nobody is going to run you into the ground on day one. Come as you are - beginner, out of practice, or coming back from injury.
How soon can I get in?
We aim to reach out within 24 hours of your request to schedule your session, and most intro sessions happen within the same week. If you have a hard deadline - a wedding, a season, a doctor’s timeline - tell us and we’ll prioritize accordingly.
What happens after the consultation?
If you decide to move forward, your trainer builds your first 12-week program around the goal and schedule you discussed, and you book your first real session. If you’d rather think it over, that’s completely fine - you’ll leave with a clear written recommendation and zero obligation to sign up.
Do I have to already be in shape to book?
Absolutely not. Our beginner strength and post-rehab tracks exist specifically for people who haven’t trained in years - or ever. The free consult is designed to meet you exactly where you are today and map a path forward from there.
